Local Waste SitesThis is the site many local residents will have visited and therefore are more familiar with. At the Wingmoor Farm West Lanfill, activities comprise composting, waste disposal, recycling and the generation of electricity from landfill gas. The Cory landfill is over the railway bridge, on the Stoke Orchard side of the railway line. It is adjacent to the Civic Amenity Centre where we take our garden refuse, cardboard etc. The Cory landfill, takes municipal solid waste (MSW). Municipal waste includes waste from individual households, businesses and industrial and commercial operations. Rubbish collected from our houses in Bishop’s Cleeve, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury in our wheelie bins is taken to the Cory site.
